LIVER AND BILE DETOXICATION CURE
When the seasons change, a liver cleanse helps eliminate accumulated toxins. A particularly important detox in spring to erase winter fatigue and give your body a little boost.
The liver's main role is to filter the blood: it cleans red blood cells, eliminates waste and helps us digest fats. The liver is also responsible for capturing toxins that end up in our body when we eat, smoke or take medications.
Cleaning your liver (we also say draining your liver) therefore helps it in its elimination function but it also gives it a little boost necessary to allow it to store vitamins (A, D, K, E) that our body needs.
Which plants should you choose to cleanse your liver naturally?
- Black radish to cleanse the liver: the juice is generally used (1 tablespoon 2 to 6 times per day) without ever exceeding 100 ml. If you don't like the taste, it comes in powder form or capsules.
- Artichoke to stimulate the liver: by promoting bile secretion, the artichoke facilitates digestion and prevents or treats digestive disorders. It is often recommended to take 2 g of dried leaves, as an infusion, 3 times a day.
- Dandelion to evacuate toxins: its leaves are known for their benefits on the body's biliary functions. They evacuate toxins by activating bile secretion and by stimulating the liver. We recommend letting 3 to 5 g of dried leaves infuse in a cup for between 5 and 10 minutes. Take up to 3 times a day.
- Boldo to optimize digestion: its leaves contain an essential oil rich in eucalyptol and alkaloids which stimulate the secretion of bile by facilitating its evacuation to the intestine. Leave 1 g of dried leaves per cup to infuse for 10 minutes in boiling water (or use a sachet). Drink a cup before meals (always take boldo before and not after meals).
And the lemon cure?
Lemon helps the liver in two ways: it stimulates the production of bile and it facilitates the breakdown of fats and their evacuation. Digestion is thus more efficient. In addition, its diuretic properties stimulate kidney activity and help eliminate toxins.
The lemon cure (to be done with organic lemons) should be done over 21 days, especially if you suffer from chronic fatigue.
Various therapeutic forms exist. Everyone can choose between herbal tea, gemmotherapy, mycotherapy, and many others.
